You are now in Terminal Mode - everything you type will be sent to your modem and/or the remote system. Everything received from the modem and/or remote system will appear in the window. The following items are available: The Dial button will prompt you for a phone number and tell the modem to dial the phone number. The Answer button will wait for the phone to ring, and then tell your modem to answer the phone. The Hangup button will tell your modem to hang up the phone. (NOTE: the three commands above all assume that you have a HAYES-compatible modem.) The Play button will close the Chat Window, and allow the connected game computers to start playing the game. The Cancel button will return you to the main game screen. This will effectively cancel any attempt you are currently making to start a game. The Local Echo check box toggles whether the keys that you type are displayed in your window as you type them. Some remote systems will echo for you, others will not. The Send Break button will send a special "BREAK" signal to the remote system. Some systems (like Compuserve) require a BREAK to be sent at the end of a Modem-to-Modem connection. The Help button brings up this window.
